Sanitation Systems for Existing Pools and Spas

The PROBLEM: The transmission of infectious diseases and general infections in whirlpools and existing hydrotherapy modalities. These are the breeding grounds for MRSA, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, E-Coli, Athlete’s Foot and many other communicable diseases.

The URGENCY: The increasing prevalence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria such as those that cause MRSA and VRE in whirlpools and any other hydrotherapy modalities is a serious problem that needs to be addressed.

Read » CA-MRSA has crept into both amateur and professional sports teams. The bacteria spread easily through cuts and abrasions and skin-to-skin contact.  Sharing towels or athletic equipment.

The NEED: Hot and Cold Hydrotherapy units that limit the transmission of and safeguard against the spread of infectious diseases.

The CURRENT SITUATION: Hydrotherapy units in your training room or facility do not have any safeguard’s against the spread of infectious diseases.  Why?...  No provisions that addresses what is causing “The PROBLEM”. This, along with lack of maintenance on filtration and chemicals, adds to “The PROBLEM”. Even though the whirlpool is drained and sanitized the inability to properly cleanse the pumps and piping is not adequate sanitation.

The POLARZONE SOLUTION:

Polarzone—provides 5 levels of protection as standard equipment with each hydrotherapy unit.

1. Microban® treated shells.

2. Complete Filtration.

3. Ultraviolet Light Water       Sterilization

4. Ozone injection.

5. Automated Bromine Infusion.

This “Firewall” along with our fully programmable and automated continuous cleansing cycle kills bacteria that causes infections from the inside of the spa equipment and shell. Our spas help prevent many diseases including Staphylococcus aureus, E-coli, Hepatitis A, Herpes, Streptococcus and MRSA.

Many professional athletes have developed MRSA infections from exposure in stadium locker rooms.
