Triple Hurdle Sanitation
System™
A three-tier water
sanitation process that includes:
Ultraviolet Light
Sterilization, Ozone Injection, and Automated Bromine Infusion.
Carefully calculated flow
rates create a continuous exposure of water to the cleansing mechanisms
of the system.
This Three-Tiered level of water cleansing utilizes redundant processes to effectively kill microorganisms that may contribute to the spread of infectious disease. This state of the art system has UV Light Sterilization, a true Corona Discharge Ozone Generator, and automatic Bromine Infusion. It has been designed to cover a wide range of installations.
Ozone, a powerful and rapid acting oxidizer, destroys all bacteria, mold, yeast spores, and viruses it comes into contact with.
From 1.5 to 2.0 mg/l dosage, ozone has been proven to kill pathogens including E. coli, Influenza, Herpes, MRSA, VRE, and Hepatitis A.
Smart Modular Design
The Polarzone THSS™ Skid Pack System™ incorporates a modular equipment design and is the perfect solution to retrofit existing modalities such as swim spas, lap and treadmill pools.
It is designed to fit through existing equipment vault access hatches in addition to being ideally suited for new hydrotherapy pool and spa installations!
Bromine Injection
Effectively kills any organism that may be left viable after contact with other sanitizing agents.
Regulated to deliver precise amounts of Bromine; this injection system provides levels that cannot be smelled and don't interfere with normal pool or spa enjoyment - yet insures safe, clean water.
Flow-through double chamber Ultraviolet Light water sanitation.
The same type of system utilized in municipalities and cities for their drinking water purification.
Recognized by the FDA as one of four methods for water purification, UV light penetrates and destroys the cell walls of bacteria and viruses attacking their DNA, leaving the organism dead. At a wavelength of 254 ðm Ultraviolet light deactivates a long list of bacteria, molds, protozoa, viruses and yeast.
The THSS™ Skid Pack System includes an Integrated ORP/pH Controller, providing fully automatic control and monitoring of your pool or spa water sanitation and pH levels.
The ORP sensor measures the water’s "Oxidation-Reduction Potential" in millivolts (mV), which is an indicator of the water’s bacteriological activity. This system constantly monitors the waters ORP and automatically adjusts the Ozone/Bromine feed levels depending on bather load; providing safe, crystal clear, and odorless spa water!
The controller also monitors and adjusts your pool or spas water pH, maintaining the ideal pH of 7.4 - 7.6 with the use of automatic water buffering.
This system is fully controllable by remote computer, such as your facilities DDC automation system, allowing for off site control and diagnostics.
For Existing or New systems
The Polarzone THSS Skid Pack System™ is designed to be universal, making it ideal for spas and pools ranging from 2000 gallons to 90,000 gallons. It's easily adaptable to your facilities existing hydrotherapy modality plumbing.
Polarzone can design THSS Skid Packs Systems™ for pools up to Olympic size - 300,000 gallons or more!

Polarzone studies pool or spa size, current flow rates, circulation process and pump design, water temperature, and other factors affecting each device, and then designs a Triple Hurdle Sanitation System™ specific to each application. Its outputs are easily adjustable allowing our THSS™ System to automatically sanitize/sterilize pools and spas ranging from 2,500 to 90,000 gallons in size.
This system is ideal for new installations or can be easily incorporated into the existing systems, providing water purification and proven sanitation far superior to just having chlorine as a sanitizer - which is much safer for your athletes and equipment.
